NIFT Delhi 2000 Batch Pia has been designing costumes for films, television and theatre. Her ability to understand the script, director’s mind and character’s nuances, enhances the representation and sketching details of the characters in her unique costume designs. Pia displays her expertise at historical, political and modern subjects with equal finness. Some of the notable films for which Pia has designed costumes are award winning films such as ‘Aligarh’, ‘Zubeidaa’, ‘Sardari Begum’, ‘Bose the Forgotten Hero’, ‘Mammo’, ‘Welcome to Sajjanpur’ , ‘Dil Se’, ‘Well Done Abba’, ‘ English August’, ‘Suraj Ka Satwan Ghoda’, ‘Hari Bhari’, ’ Drohkaal’, ‘Bombay Boys’ etc. Her television work among several others consists of designing costumes for television series on the making of the Indian Constitution ‘Samvidhaan’, and ‘Siyaasat’. Pia has recently completed her
assignment on a docu-drama ‘Jang-E- Azadi’ which will be shown to the public in the Jang-E- Azadi museum in Kartarpur, Punjab. Last Days of the Raj a BBC-2 Docu-drama was one of the three finalists nominated for Best Costumes in the BAFTA Awards in 2008. Pia is recipient of Lux Cine Zee Awards 1998 for Best Costumes for Sardari Begum. Pia has been a jury member of the Kashish Film Festival in 2013.
Bhushan Pednekar A free spirit and a strong mind is what best describes Bhushan Pednekar. A Bombay boy who started his career in year 2000 as a studio manager, evolved from line producer to independent producer by setting up an elaborate production house ‘Dancing Elephant Picture Company DEPC’ which has specialized and undertaken making Adfilms for Hindustan Unilever, Godrej, Network 18, Lowe Lintas, Ogilvy & Mather’s, GQ Magazines, Mccann Erickson, Law & Kenneth, Leo Burnett, Common Wealth, BBH, Draft FCB ULKA, Interface Communication, Lbi India for prestigious brands like Castrol, Park Avenue, Pears, Kwality Walls, L’Oreal, Maybelline, Knorr, Pepsodent , Complan, ESPN, Oreo, Saffola, Lipton Green Tea, McDonalds, Videocon, Servo etc. to name a few from theexhaustive list of his TVC and Adfilms. Bhushan’s passion for films lead him to line produce (as India Counterpart) for Indo- Chinese feature film titled ‘Xuan Zang’ directed by ‘Mr. Huo Jianqi’ and the executive producer for the same being ‘Mr.Wong Kar Wai’. The film won the Best Directors Award at therecent BRICS International Film Festival 2017 and is the official entry from China for the 89th Academy Awards ‘The Oscar’s 2017’.
Siddharth Anand Kumar
Siddharth studied filmmaking in Hampshire College in
Massachusetts,USA. After graduation he has worked as a freelance cinematographer and editor for several film and TV projects. He has worked as an assistant to Mira Nair during the making of Kamasutra (1995), as DOP and editor for Bobby Bedi during the production of the TV series Rajdhani (2000), and as the executive producer for Shekhar Kapur’s company Digital Talkies during which he oversaw the production of two feature films and the country’s first International Digital Film Festival (2001). He turned Director in 2002 with the short film Game that was selected as the closing film for the Commonwealth film festival in Manchester UK, 2002. His first feature film was Let’s Enjoy (2004) a slice of life film about a mad party in a Delhi farmhouse. The film released commercially and spawned many memorable songs. Then in 2010 he made Semshook, a coming of age story set in the Tibetan Exile community in India. The film has played around the world to acclaim for its spiritual – adventure story and cinematography. In the (long) gap between features, he moonlights as a TV director, having helmed over 20 TV shows in disparate genres such as Mahabharata, Fear Files, Savdhan
India etc. He has also taught screenwriting at the School Of Convergence in New Delhi, and has directed India’s pioneering show for the internet and mobile phones Akbar, Birbal Remixed for Rajshree Media(available on Youtube). He now heads Content Creation at Saregama India Ltd.

Riju is actively involved in almost all major aspects of film making ranging from acting, writing and directing. Riju has acted in various feature films under eminent
Directors and has been nominated for best supporting actor for national film awards in 1988 & 1993 for his performance in Tamas & Suraj ka Saatvan Ghoda respectively. Riju has directed documentaries and serials including popular tv series India’s Most Wanted & Phir Bhi. In 2005 Riju co-wrote and was associate director for the feature film Yun Hota To Kya Hota. Riju has been Creative Director & Creative Head for Fox TV Studios Pvt Ltd, BAG Films, HM Media & Entertainment, Swastik Productions, Maya Movies to name a few. Lifft India is the second international film festival founded by Riju.
